Richard Whittaker Ltd achieves a second Grade AA from BRC

Sep 27, 2021 | Company News

We are delighted to announce that at our annual audit, Richard Whittaker Ltd achieved British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Food Standard v8 Grade AA, for a second time.

Specialists in Dry Powder Blending, Contract Packing and the supply of raw materials and dry food ingredients, Rochdale-based Richard Whittaker Ltd have some fantastic news to share.

Following on from a previous audit in which the company was awarded the highest certification level it has ever achieved, the team has matched that achievement in a September 2021 BRC audit.

As a site we are extremely proud of this achievement, and of our hard working and dedicated staff, without whom we cannot enjoy such success.

Thom Rigby, Production Director, commented: “BRC is the leading and most recognised safety and quality certification programme within the food industry.  Our systems are strong and through hard work and commitment, we were awarded the highest audit score possible for announced audits.  As a site we are extremely proud of this achievement, and of our hard working and dedicated staff, without whom we cannot enjoy such success.  The directors have invested heavily in new equipment to continually diversify and increase our throughput, and the whole team have fully embraced the changes.  We have shown year on year improvements and are proud to be a top quality supplier of powder blends and packaging options to the food and nutrition industry.”
